THE PERSON BEHIND THE SERVICE
A little about me

I’m Frieda, your Kiezsitterin, a sitter right here in your neighbourhood. I grew up with animals, and they’ve had a special place in my life since childhood. For over six years now I’ve been actively caring for other people’s animals and homes while they’re away, in Germany, France, Scotland, England, Spain, Portugal and Austria.
Dogs, cats, birds, horses, goats, donkeys, chickens and rabbits. Every animal has its own mind, and every home its own rhythm.
People often tell me I have a way with animals, and that they trust me quickly. I think it’s because I bring a lot of calm and an honest interest in how each one works. Shy animals, or ones everyone has written off as difficult, tend to come around with me, and I hear that back again and again.
Six years of hands-on practice, not a certificate, and a genuine interest in each animal.

Common questions
What pet owners often ask
Do you have experience with anxious dogs?
Yes, a lot. Beforehand I talk things through with you: what your dog has been through, what triggers the fear and what makes them feel safe. Every dog is different, so I take my time and adjust to them. I’ve looked after many different breeds, including lots of rescue dogs and hunting dogs.
What happens in an emergency or if there’s an injury?
I can take care of minor, superficial injuries or heat-related problems. I don’t have medical training. Every stay has an emergency plan with emergency contacts and a vet, so we can act quickly if needed. We go through medication and special needs in detail beforehand.
Will I get photos and updates?
Of course. Daily or as often as you like, just as we agree. What matters most is that you don’t have to worry.
Do you look after other animals at the same time?
No, unless you explicitly ask for it. Your animals get my full attention.
